We are an Anglican church in the Catholic tradition in the Diocese of Southwark (Church of England). Our congregation is made up of people of all ages and backgrounds, sharing the love of Christ and serving the local community. We are proud of our reputation of being a diverse and inclusive Church, and we are committed to being a space where all people are not simply welcomed but delighted in, regardless of age, wealth, education, ethnicity, sexuality, or gender.

Faith at St Philip's doesn't stay inside the building. From PlayTime! to the Lunch Lounge, from Seasoned Souls to the Summer Club, we show up for Avondale Square and the wider community, week in, week out.
Seasoned Souls is a weekly chair-based exercise and discussion group at St Philip's, Avondale Square, helping older adults build strength, confidence, and social connection. It combines 45 minutes of gentle seated/standing exercise with an hour of informal hospitality and chat.

We meet at 11 AM for hot soup and games.
Every Friday (term time) | 9:30-11 AM
Join us every Friday during term time for PlayTime! – a welcoming, free playgroup for babies and toddlers. With sensory play, crafts, songs, stories, and fresh coffee with treats for parents, it’s a space for children to explore and for grown-ups to connect.
